Abstract

Objective:To review literature and further evaluate the factors influencing lung nodules detection by standard dose scanning.Methods:20 patients with lung metastasis were scanned by CT with different schemes, including different slice thickness, different reconstruction interval and pitch. The nodules size, number and position, were measured and the correlativity of scan schemes, nodule size, nodule position and the detecting rate of the nodules were observed. Results:The thinner the slice thickness and the smaller the reconstruction interval and the smaller the pitch, the more nodules are found out, mainly more tiny nodules are found out;nodules adjacenting to or overlapping on pulmonary vessels, hilum of lung, heart border and diagram are easly not found out. Conclusion:By standard dose schemes, the slice thickness, reconstruction interval, pitch, nodule size and position all influence the defection of the lung nodules.
