Abstract
Two novel complexes of uranyl nitrate and thorium nitrate with bis Schiff base derived from N,N′ bis[(1 phenyl 3 methyl 5 oxo 4 pyrazolinyl)α furylmethylidyne] ethylenediimine ((HPMαFP) 2en) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV, 1H NMR , 13 C NMR and molar conductance. The general formula of complexes is confirmed to be [UO 2(PMαFP) 2en] and [Th(PMαFP) 2en(NO 3)]NO 3. The antibacterial experiments indicate that they have high antibacterial activities against S. aureus, B. subtillis, E. coli, E.carotovora, C. flaccumfaciens.
