Abstract

OBJECTIVE To prepare diltiazem hydrochloride (DIL) sustained release dispersoid to reduce its side reaction.METHODS Diltiazem hydrochloride dispersoid was prepared by the technique of solid dispersion. The DSC was used to investigate the nature of the studied forms and the dissolution was detected.RESULTS The DSC showed that diltiazem hydrochloride dispersoid could be dispersed amorphously in carrier. The release rate was related to the dissolution medium, drug/ carrier ratio and the granules size. Stability test showed that the release rate and the drug dispersion state didn't change significantly after storage over 3 months.CONCLUSION Diltiazem hydrochloride sustained release dispersoid is stable and can decrease side reaction.
