Abstract
years observations and experiment on fertilization at afforestation of pure Castanopsis fissa and Pinus massoniana forest, and these two mixed forest, indicated that the mixture could promote stand growth and thus form a rational structure. Application of base manure before plantation of C. fissa had evident effect on tree height, DBH growth of young trees, but not latter.
