Abstract

Self-education is an essential part of Zhu Xi' s education thought, which produced great influences on Southern Song Dynasty's development of education and society. Today, to get an idea of and analyze Zhu Xi's thought of self-education, and to probe into its inner basis, methods and the process of implementation still make certain influences on modern ideological and political education.
