Abstract

Basis on the related achievements of history, geography, hydraulic silt and other subjects, this paper made a primary research on comparing historical development and present conditions and have made progress about these items: (a) The historical development about Dongting Lake and Jing River and evaluation on the effect of regional ecological and environment;(b) The quota evaluated calculation on the effect of silting up and synthetically regional and by hiking; (c) The evaluation on silting rate of Jing River bed in historical times.
