Abstract
Zhao Yi has been struggled for more than 20 years to win the imperial examination,and lives forever in the shadow of this examination.Zhao Yi's experiences in imperial examination reveal some aspects of the imperial examination system of Qing Dynasty.Such study may promote the research of Zhao Yi's poetry,literature and Zhao Yi himself,further the study of writer's spiritual life,and enhance our understanding of the essence of imperial examination.
