Abstract
DL -aspartic acid was produced by ammonolysis of maleic anhydride in the presence of N catalyst (home-made) in a stainless steel autoclave. The influences of the molar ratio of aqua ammonia to maleic anhydride ,reaction temperature, reaction time and the quantity of catalyst on the yield of product were investigated. The optimum synthetic conditions were aqua ammonia /maleic anhydride molar ratio 5∶1,N catalyst/maleic anhydride mass ratio 0 15∶1,reaction time 6h and reaction temperature 140℃.Under the optimum conditions, the yield of DL -aspartic acid was 60 3%,the purity of DL -aspartic acid over 99%.Through spectrum of IR, the constitutional formula of product was proved to be DL -aspartic acid.
