Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical application value of partial splenic artery embolization(PSE)in the treatment of secondory hypersplenism. Methods We selected 25 cases of secondory hypersplenism, and used selaimger techniques to catheterize to the splenic artery through the femoral artery of every patient, then in-fused sponge particles and antibiotics to embolize distal splenic artery.Changes in peripheral blood cells of pa-tients were observed before and after partial splenic artery embolization.Result Peripheral blood cells of pa-tients increased after partial splenic artery embolization. Conclusions PSE is safe and effective for the treatment of hypersplenism. It is an effective way to select suitable cases and operate carefully to avoid adverse effects
