Abstract

Objective To study whether vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)gene polymorphism has correlation with the risk of cerebral infarction. Methods PCR-RFLP was used to analyze the polymorphism of VEGF gene rs1570360,rs3025039 and rs699947 in 147 cases of acute cerebral infarction and 131 cases of non-cerebral infarction control. Results TG,LDL-C,blood glucose, blood pressure(systolic and diastolic pressure) were obviously higher in cerebral infarction group than those in control group, and HDL-C was obviously lower(P0.05).There was no significant difference in allele and genotype distributions of rs1570360,rs3025039 and rs699947 between cerebral infarction group and control group(P0.05).Multi-step logistic regression analysis of cerebral infarction risk factor showed that TG,blood glucose and systolic pressure were the independent risk factor, however, haplotype ACC of rs1570360,rs3025039 and rs699947(5.85%) in cerebral infarction group was obviously lower than that in control group(14.22%).Conclusions Haplotype ACC of rs1570360,rs3025039 and rs699947 might have some correlation with the risk of cerebral infarction.
