Abstract

Based on distance matrix and branch vertex of atoms in a molecula,a new topological index Hz has been established to be used in researching physical and chemical properties of alkanes.It obtained satisfacbory results.Compared with the other topological index,Hz has better structure selectivity and cor-releation.
