Abstract
A modified silicon molybdenum-blue photometric method for the determination of trace silicon content in high purity water is studied.According to the experiment, soluble Si(Ⅳ) can react with ammonium molybdate and generate silicon molybdenum-yellow,then taking L-ascorbic acid as reductant the silicon molybdenum yellow is reduced to form silicon molybdenum-blue in citric acid at room temperature. The colour-developing time is 10 min, measuring wave length is 815nm,and apparent molar absorption coefficient is 5.35×104 L·mol-1·cm-1.
