Abstract

According to different kinds of common carrier materials: PLA,PLGA and chitosan, the advances in application of spray drying technique to preparation of protein-and peptide-loaded microspheres were reviewed classifiedly. And the characteristics of major spray drying techniques, such as solution/spraydrying,emulsion/spray-drying,spray freeze drying, spray freezing into liquid and cryogenic spray extraction, were introduced and compared.
