Abstract

[Objective] To investigate the stability of paeoniflorin in different pH and temperature.[Methods] The changes of paeoniflorin after placed for some time were determined by HPLC in different temperature and pH values.[Results] Paeoniflorin was completely degradated after placing at pH 9.0 or above a temperature of 60℃ for 3 h.No degradation was found in acid conditions.[Conclusion] paeoniflorin was stable in acid medium and degradation was accelerated when temperature increased or in a basic condition.
