Abstract
Objective:To investigate the contents of domoic acid in shellfish in Zhoushan islands. Methods: The shellfish in Zhoushan islands were collected and the contents of the domoic acid in these shellfish were detected with HPLC.Results: The total detectable rate of domoic acid in shellfish was 64% with the content range from 0 to1.68 mg/kg,and the median was 0.21 mg/kg.The content of domoic acid in mussels was relatively high. Conclusion: The contents of domoic acid in shellfish in Zhoushan islands were lower than the hygienic standard. So there was no risk involved with shellfish.
