Abstract
Trichodina pachyhamata sp. nov. was isolated from the gills of cultured freshwater fish, Carassius auratus in Chongqing, China. It is characterised by its robust blade and extensive unclear zone in centre of adhesive disc in adult individuals. The morphology of two known forms Trichodina centrostrigata Basson, Van As Paperna, 1983 and Trichodinella carpi Duncan, 1977 which are both first records in China was reinvestigated.
