Abstract
Objective To investigate the distribution of cerebral artery stenosis in patients with cerebral infarction in different age groups.Methods 170 cases were examined with digital subtraction angiography(DSA).To clear existence of the cerebral vascular stenosis,the distribution of stenosis,and responsibility artery stenosis.Results The rate of cerebral artery stenosis and detection responsibility artery in youth group(patients 60 years)and elderly group were 87.23%,88.18% and 68.29%,80.59%,respectively.In youth group,53 cases(64.63%) had only intracranial artery lesions,17cases(20.73%) had only extracranial artery lesions,12 cases(14.63%) had both intracranial and extracranial lesions.In elderly group(patients ≥60 years),24cases(35.82%) had only intracranial artery lesions,28 cases(41.79%) had only extracranial artery lesions,15 cases(22.39% %) had both intracranial and extracranial lesions.Concluosion It is suggested that the intracranial and extracranial cerebral artery stenosis or occlusion is the most important cause of cerebral infarction.Youth patients have main intracranial arterial lesions,while elderly patients have extracranial arterial lesions mainly.
