Oxidation mechanism and application progress of Fenton process in wastewater treatment

Abstract

Fenton oxidation process is an effective advanced oxidation process.It is a kind of promising technologies with the advantage over common oxidation processes in wastewater treatment.In this paper,the principle and application of common Fenton,photo-Fenton and electro-Fenton are presented.Their advantages,problems and development trend are also discussed.Especially,the advantage and application of combined treatment of Fenton oxidation process with other processes(biological processes,coagulation processes,adsorption processes)are summarized.
