Clinical Value of Combined Detection of Serum HE4 and CA125 in Diagnosis of Ovarian Cancer

Abstract

Objective To explore the application values of the combined detection of serum HE4 and CA125 level in diagnosis of ovarian cancer.Methods The serum HE4 and CA125 levels in 85 patients with ovarian cancer,55 patients with benign pelvic diseases and 120 healthy controls were determined by ELISA and ECLIA,respectively.Results It showed that the serum HE4 level in patients with ovarian cancer was significantly higher than that of healthy controls(P0.001).There was no significantly difference on serum HE4 level between patients with benign pelvic diseases and healthy controls(P0.05).The serum CA125 levels in patients either with ovarian cancer or with benign pelvic diseases were significantly higher than that of healthy controls(P0.001).Conclusion The combined detection of serum HE4 and CA125 have significant clinical value in the differential diagnosis of magnificent or benign ovarian tumors.
