The soviet revolution and the women's social role of the transition

During the Soviet revolution period,women's social role had undergone tremendous changes and their social status had improved to a large extent.Economically,they acquired the right of possessing means of production through widely participating in production.They shifted from being dependent before the revolution to being economically independent.In marriage,they liberated themselves,obtaining the right of making choice for themselves.Politically,they gradually gained the voting right.There came forth a large numbers of women representatives among the political participators.In soviet revolution,women,being active participants,volunteered to serve as revolutionary soldiers.During Soviet revolution,women had gradually shook off the feudal shackles,realizing the shift from housewives to an independent social subject who played their main part in the aspects of politics,economy,revolution and marriage,and fully received their own liberation.
