Abstract
The solid model of the cylinder gear is established by Pro/E according to its structural characteristics,and the finite element model of the gear was established by ANSYS software based on the theory of finite element method.The mode analysis of the gear is investigated by ANSYS software,and the natural frequency and major modes of the gear are got.The method provided a theoretic basis for improving the dynamic design of the gear,at the same time,it laid a foundation of dynamic response calculation of the gear.
