Abstract
Using 52 peach varieties and seedlings as tested materials, this paper studied the relations between the pectin, soluble sugar, titratable acid, fruit size and fruit firmness. The results showed that there was a significantly positive correlation between the original pectin content and fruit firmness(P0.05),and a significantly negative correlation between the soluble pectin content and fruit firmness(P0.01).There were no correlations between the total pectin content, soluble sugar content, titratable acid content, fruit size and fruit firmness.
