Abstract
The shear strength parameter of slope rock masses is one of primary geological factors affecting the slope stability and the parameter is affected by some perplexing factors with a indefinite feature. Based on the random and fuzzy of rock mechanical parameters, the random-fuzzy statistics theory and related computed formulas is introduced to define shear strength parameter of rock mass. On the grounds of shear tests of host rock from different angles, it is proved that the proposed method and theory can better reflect the intrinsic properties of rock.
