Abstract

In cartography,it is impossible to map from spherical surface to plane surface without cracking and distortion. So all of map projections (include Mercator projection,Gauss-Kruger projection, and other false projections) must exist distortion of projection (includes angle, area and length). The author studies virtual 3D earth, and abandons the projection method that was from spherical surface to flat surface, and then directly accomplishes the mapping of spherical surface to virtual spherical surface.Lastly this paper was achieved small scaled cartography on the virtual 3D earth. This method downright corrects the distortions of projections in the plane surface.
