Abstract
This paper focus on the shortcoming of the traditional single seismic attribute which is of low sensitivity to the formation lithology and Hard to find the complex lithology ctrap , proposes the idea that using the seismic composite attribute in lithologic trap exploration, The so-called seismic composite attribute is to combine several single attributes mathematically to get a brand new single attribute with obvious higher sensitivity than a single attribute,better interpretation result on stratigraphic lithological change area and more clearly highlights the pinchout s line of the sand body. The seismic composite attribute provides a good basis for lithologic traps exploration. So using the seismic composite attribute is a Reliable and effective method in lithologic trap searching.
