Nationalism and the Construction of Nation-State

Abstract
Nationalism is the awareness and action of modern political community.It distinguishes between them andus,it asks for national political rights and emphasizes equality inus.Nationalism made nation,nation constructs nation-state.Nation-sate is proved to be better than any other political community,so many states advocate nationalism in order to become legitimate.Nationalism still exists after the construction of nation-state,which may take the shape of patriotism or separatism.In some other countries the governments must complete the construction of nation-state by advocating nationalism in order to shape the national identity.
