Abstract

Based on the study on western vocal singing and through the analysis of the evolvement of Chinese traditional vocal singing and the differences and characters between traditional vocal singing and Bel Canto, this paper will put forth some techniques which we borrow from Bel Canto to improve modern folk singing and the necessity of this method.
