Abstract
The seismic tomography gives a new way for us to investigate the structure of the Earth's deep interior. The knowledge of the Earth's structure is based on two levels. These are the Earth's layer structure and its heterogeneity. Recently, the seismic tomography data show us a new structure of our planet, particularly, the 3 D structure of the mantle. It is easy to understand that this new feature is the current distribution of the evolution history of the Earth's mantle. Based on this frame we can reconstruct the evolution history of the mantle and have more understanding of our planet.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
