Abstract
Objective To prove the inhibition effect of fluoride varnish on enamel demineralization.Methods Fluoride varnish was applied on the enamel surface of samples in the experiment group.In the control group,enamel was discovered.After the artificial caries attack,the enamel lesions of demineralization was observed by polarized light microscope,and the depth of lesion was measured.Results All the samples in the control group had obvious enamel demineralization lesions,few samples in the experiment group had isolated enamel demineralization lesions.Conclusion Fluoride varnish has a good inhibition effect of enamel demineralization,which may become one of the measures for prevention of enamel demineralization in orthodontic treatment.
