Abstract
In order to further discover the removing pollutant efficiency in water of the hydrous manganese dioxide, the efficiency of removal humic acid of hydrous manganese dioxide which was prepared by reduction of potassium permanganate was studied by jar coagulation tests with the CODMn,TOC and UV254 as the index. The possible mechanism of removal organic matter of hydrous manganese dioxide was also investigated. The results showed that the removal rate of CODMn,TOC and UV254 were 15.25 %,24.07% and 38.0% respectively when the dosage of hydrous manganese dioxide was 6mg·L-1.It concluded that this kind of hydrous manganese dioxide had better effect of removal humic acid and UV254 compared with traditional coagulants.
