Abstract
Populus euphratica is the only naturally- distributed tall arbor species in arid desert regions of Northwestern China,which has important ecological and economic value. The adaptive capacity of Populus euphratica in arid desert regions is significance. The effect of leaf morphology and distribution pattern of fruit on habitat adaptability has been analyzed. The results show that the morphology and spatial distribution of leaf,morphology and distribution pattern of fruit,twig structure have certain characteristics,which strengthened the utilization of light and water,and enhanced the adaptability to high temperatures and drought environment.
