Power distribution automation is the basis of implementing automation for power distribution,management,information integration,comprehensive application and service.Power distribution automation based on advanced communication technology would surely become a trend for future development.This paper deals with city power distribution network structure and protection configuration matched to it.Moreover,it discusses the methods and basic functions of power distribution automation.
