Abstract

Objective: To investigate the therapeutic efficacy of Xiongjie burn cream in wound healing in rats with third degree scalds and rabbits with deep second degree burns.Methods: A rat model of third degree scalds and a rabbit model of deep second degree burns were established to observe the therapeutic efficacy of Xiongjie burn cream in wound healing in animals.Results: Xiongjie burn cream(low,middle,and high doses) could significantly promote wound healing in the rats with third degree scalds on day 15,20,and 25 of treatment,as compared with the excipient(P0.01).Xiongjie burn cream(low,middle,and high doses) could significantly promote wound healing in the rats with deep second degree burns on day 10,15,and 20,as compared with the excipient(P0.01).Conclusion: Xiongjie burn cream is effective in treating scalds and burns in animals.
