The Interpretation of The Book of Odes and Its Canonization in the Han Dynasty

Abstract

In the historical context of the Han Dynasty,Confucians took Tong-Jing-Zhi-Yong as their principle of interpretation,interpreted and commented on The Book of Odes.By putting The Book of Odes totally in political perspectives and fusing different perspectives and horizons,Confucians advanced the political cultivation meaning in The Book of Odes and turned it into a fundamental document of the imperial ideology
