Abstract

In accordance with the similarity principle, the effects of construction, immersion depth of SEN,gas injection on the fluid flow in the mould and the wave amplitude and impetus under different casting speed have been studied by water modeling. The results provide theoretical basis for choosing reasonable construction of SEN.The slab quality referred to inclusion content can be improved by applying the optimum SEN.
