Deng Xiaoping's ideology on international law mainly consists of four aspects: building a new international order on the norms of Five Principles for Peaceful Coexistence; observing and developing the international legal principle of national sovereignty; complementing the theory of human rights in international law; innovating the international legal principle of peaceful settlement of disputes. The core of his ideology lies in an inno-vative perspective on the international issues which helps complement and develop the contents and theory of international law. On Chinese stance, Deng Xiaoping's ideology on international law still holds a theoretical and practical significance on building a harmonious world with peace、cooperation and development a-mong all the nations.
