Clinical effect of locking plate in treatment of 42 patients with proximal humeral fractures

Objective To discuss the clinical effect of locking plate in treatment of patients with proximal humeral fractures. Methods Totally 84 patients with proximal humeral fractures were divided randomly and voluntarily into the control group( n = 42) and observation group( n = 42). The patients of the control group were given open reduction and internalfixation while the observation group were given locking plate internal fixation treatment. The intraoperative blood loss,postoperative healing time and treatment effect were compared between the two groups. Results There were no statistical significant about intraoperative blood loss and postoperative healing time between the two groups( all P 0. 05). The total effective rate of observation group was obviously higher than that of control group,the differences were statistically significant( 95. 2% vs 80. 9%,χ2= 4. 248,P = 0. 036). Conclusion The clinical effect of locking plate in treatment of patients with proximal humeral fractures is remarkable and causes little damage with the body,it is worth popularization and application.
