Abstract

Applying the expansion module Patch Analyst of ARCGIS,taking the data of base year(2009) as foundation data attained from the forestland planning on protection and utilization in Napo County, base on 10 woodland landscape types, three indexes including characteristics of forest shape index, forest fragmentation indexand forest diversity index were calculated.According to the dominant tree species, forest landscape was classified into 14 types of landscape, and the forest diversity index was calculated. Results are shown as the followings:(1) characteristics of forest shape index indicated that the patch boundary of forest landscape had a lower folding degree;the arboreal forest landscape was affected by human activities with less interference;(2) Forest fragmentation index characteristics revealed that the arboreal forest landscape dominated in the woodland landscape and had a low human disturbance;(3) The difference between the forestland diversity index and maximum diversity index was large, which indicated that the proportion of all classes of forestlands was obvious.
