Abstract
Objective To set up a simple 4MP-UV method for the determination of thiosulfinates contents in garlic. Methods The sample of garlic extraction was immersed into alcohol, sonicated and detected with spectrophotometric assay by 4MP-UV. Results The saved-up garlic and the fresh garlic respectively contained thiosulfinates 0.117 0% and 0.243 5%.Relative standard deviations(RSD) were 3.43% and 3.08%,both less than 5%. Conclusion The method is easy, sensitive, fast and inexpensive.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
