Abstract
Because the first-flush stormwater carries high concentration pollutants, the pollution problem caused by its discharge into waters has attracted much attention. The control of pollutants carried by the first-flush stormwater should be considered from following three aspects:① source reduction and on-site treatment;② collection and storage and ③ enhanced maintenance. For the cities with many lakes, the on-site treatment and end constructed wetland should be integrated. The surface runoff conditions are changed to increase the infiltration and reduce the runoff. The on-site treatment facilities are used to appropriately treat stormwater before it flows into lakes and rivers. These measures can reduce pollution load of stormwater and improve water environment.
