Abstract
This paper demonstrates the generating principle of circular-circular envelope curve,which is the most widely used basic segments of the screw rotor profiles.The geometric method and analytical method based on tooth profile normal line method are used individually to derivate the profile equation and its meshing line equation of the meshing pair of circular-circular envelope curve.Fur-thermore,to provide reference for further development of rotor profile,we illustrate several typical examples and development of dif-ferent combinations of the meshing pairs,such as SRM Symmetric Profile,SRM-D Profile,etc.
