Abstract
Sinologist Qian Mu's methodology of research into Confucian classics of the Han Dynasty is worth appreciation and summarization. This paper mainly discusses it in the following four aspects: fairly exploring Confucian classics with sectarian bias abandoned; discriminating the trend of his age and fully understanding the spirit of Confucian classics; discussing Confucian classics in terms of history to achieve the interaction between history and Confucian classics; taking an unbiased view in Confucian classics study. In short, Qian Mu' s methodology can be efficiently applied to Confucian classics study as well as the whole a-cademic research.
