Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression and significance of some key effective proteins from Hedgehog(Hh) signaling pathway in human prostate carcinoma, para-carcinoma tissues. Methods Utilizing reverse transcriptionpolymerase chain reaction, the tissue samples from 32 cases prostate carcinoma and para-carcinoma were detected, and the expression of Shh, Ptc and Gli1 proteins were statistically analysed. Results The content of Shh, Ptcand Gli1 in Pca was markedly elevated compare with their corresponding adjacent normal tissues, the expression of Shhand Ptchave positive correlation and this correlation has statistical significance. Conclusion The elevate expression of Shh, Ptcand Gli1 and overactivation exists in the hedgehog signaling pathway in Pca, Gli1 raise express promote prostate cancer cell proliferation and differentiation, and raise the promote prostate cancer occurrence and development.
