Abstract
A modified adaptive hill climbing algorithm was proposed for the photovoltaic maximum power point tracking. The sysytem performance was evaluated by experiments and simulations in Matlab/Simulink.The results show that with the algorithm, the system can track the maximum power point smoothly and quickly, and has good adaptability to problems like degradation of the photovoltaic illumination.
