Social Justice in the Era of Globalization

Social justice is one of the intrinsic demands of, as well as preconditions for the harmony, stability and healthy development of any human community. However, the status of social justice is greatly eroded in the process of economic globalization in different degree with the enlarged wealthy gap between the poor and the rich all over the world and within every country. In the case of China, even if an astonishing economic development has been achieved since the adoption of reform and opening policy, a lot of problems concerning social justice have also been accumulated. This paper argues that it has become an urgent task to resolve these problems for a further development of Chinese society and one of the key elements for the construction of a harmonious socialist society.
