Abstract
The following review discusses the achievement of sildenafil therapy for pulmonary hypertension. Sildenafil is a phosphodiestersase type 5 inhibitors which through inhibition of the breakdown of cGMP to enhance nitric oxide-dependent, cGMP-mediated pulmonary vasodilation. The use of sildenafil, alone or combined with prostacyclin or endothelin-receptor antagonist, has been showed that improvement in acute pulmonary hemodynamic and functional status.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
