Abstract
From analysis of the pattern of flow when it obliquely crosses the open channel,a practical formula for calculating siltation in the dredged channel was presented,conidering the effects of the channel depth and width as well as the intersection angle between flow and channel on siltation.The calculated results are in good agreement with those from field observation,math model and physical model.
