Abstract
The gas reservoirs in the He 8 and Shan 1 formations in the Su 53 block of the Sulige gas field are lithologic gas reservoirs of low permeability and low reserves abundance. Rational well pattern and well spacing are studied based on analysis of geological features and gas well production performance in the Su53 block by employing the economic limit and optimum technology of single well area as well as numerical simulation. 3 scenarios of well spacing indicate that the basic well pattern of 600m×1200m of approximately diamond shape with the NS array spacing larger than the EW well spacing can maximize the recovery factor, achieve the best economic benefit and facilitate subsequent infill adjustment.
