The Development of Telematics and its Standardization

With the development of mobile communication and the popularization of private car,Telematics show good develop- merit tendency.Telematics integrate technologies of communication,information,control,and so on.Telematics provide services of lo- calization,navigation,traffic information,remove vehicle diagnostics and entertainment information to car drivers.In this paper,the de- velopment models of Telematics in main countries and regions are summarized;the development status of Telematics industry in China is stated;the related standard organizations and the standardization status of Telematics are introduced.Based on the development ten- dency of Telematics in the world,we give recommendations for the development of Telematics in China.We hope related corporations and organizations of China pay great attention to the new industry of Telematics.
