Analysis of the Status of Internet Addiction of College Students and Their Emotional Characteristics

To know about the status of the college students' Internet addiction and analyze their emotional characteristics,this paper researches the 810 college students' Internet addiction status and emotional characteristics by using Young Internet addiction diagnostic questionnaires,self rating depression scale,self-rating anxiety scale and UCLA loneliness scale. The results show that the Internet addiction rate of the 810 participants is 6.5%,the Internet addiction rate of boys is higher than girls' and the proportion of number of online games and online chat of Internet addiction group is significantly higher than that of non network addiction group. In view of the emotional characteristics,depression,anxiety,loneliness scale score of Internet addiction group is significantly higher than non Internet addiction group. There exists more emotional distress in the Internet addiction college students.
